Northwest Arkansas Corvette Club Christmas Party Friday, December 5th Springdale Holiday Inn and Convention Center
Our club’s annual Christmas party will be held on Friday December 5 in the Holiday Inn Hotel conference area (in the hotel, not the Convention Center) in Springdale. The doors will open and cash bar will start at 6:00 p.m. Dinner will start around 6:30 or 7:00.
The club will be paying for our dinner that night. We just need to know how many will be attending. If you DO sign up for dinner and DO NOT attend, you are expected to reimburse the club for your dinner. Deadline to sign up is Monday, December 1. We do need to have you sign up, even though the club is paying. You cannot just show up. Please e-mail RAPeak@cox.net or call Joanna at 479-409-6641. We will not be having our regular December meeting. We will have a short business meeting before dinner is served during the Christmas party and officially vote for the new officers for 2015. We will also present our 2014 charities with their checks.
Following dinner, the meeting and our charity presentation we will have our Dirty Santa gift exchange, which is optional. You do not have to participate. It is up to each individual. If a couple wants to bring only one gift, you will only exchange for one gift. Gifts should cost around $20.00. This is not a white elephant gift exchange. Think of something that you would like to receive yourself. It does not have to be car related, although those gifts go over well.
We have rented the presidential suite for our after-party gathering. You are invited to join us there for lasting fun. The Holiday Inn has reserved a block of rooms for any of our members who want to spend the night instead of driving home. Our special rate is $69. To get this rate you will need to book by November 28 by going to:
Fayetteville: Friday, November 21 - The theme is “Let Fayetteville Glow.” Line up 4:30 or 5:00 at the library’s lower parking lot. The parade begins at 6:00 and basically goes around the square and back.
Cassville, Missouri: Wednesday, November 26 – Line up at high school at 4:00 p.m.; parade starts at 5:45
Springdale: Saturday, November 29 – line up at Parson’s arena at 4:30 p.m.
Rogers: Monday, December 1 – Parade begins off Olrich St. Line up at 5:30; parade starts at 7:00.
No one is allowed to throw candy from the cars and no live Santas are allowed in cars at any of these parades. Parade organizers will have Santa in a special ride in the parades. If you need help with how to put lights on your car (required in some parades) contact Richard Peak. Let Joanna know if you want to participate in a parade.
